UPDATE
If you missed it, there is a new beta that adds the new HD-Trailers.Net feed. The old feed does work but is depreciated so it could disappear at any time.

The need feed is
http://feeds.hd-trailers.net/hd-trailers

It is in the new config file but the install package may not install it if you choose not to overwrite the existing config file. I have been using this version for a couple of days and it seems to work correctly.

Old News
If you are brave and interested, I am in the process of uploading a new version of HDTrailerDownloader (notice the slight change in the name) that uses the TrailerFreaks RSS feed http://feeds2.feedburner.com/Feed-For-Trailer-Freaks. It will be listed as a beta and won't be the recommended download until we get some comments back that it works he way it should

matystl had posted an approach to using the different HD-Trailers.Net pages; ComingSoon, Opening etc. After discussing thsi off line. we looked at the TrailerFreaks RSS feed and the german language trailer site http://www.moviemaze.de/rss/trailer.phtml.

The TrailerFreaks feed offers a couple of advantages: It typically has more than 20 movies listed and it provides the imdb movie ID so I don't have to try and find the correct listing based only on the movie name. The process used to find the correct name works most of the time but there are no guarantees that it is correct.

Appreciate any comments. A special thanks to matstl!!

Project Description
A tool to download the trailers from the HD-Trailers.net Blog. Schedule this to run once a night and it will download all the new trailers.

Hello Everyone -

I love watching the latest HD movie trailers, but have always been frustrated with the various limitations of streaming them over the internet. So I began manually downloading them for offline Media Center viewing from the HD-Trailers.net blog (which includes the newest trailers/clips from Apple, Yahoo, IGN and some others!) As you could imagine, this quickly became tedious as there are new ones available almost every day, so I wrote a small open source app to do the heavy lifting for me.

The app uses .NET 4 (c#) and is quite simple to setup & use. The latest version is a ClickOnce application. The configuration file is located in User\'username'\AppData\Local\HD-Trailers.NET Downloader. For Version 1.3 and older : You extract the .rar to it's own folder, edit the config file to your liking, and schedule it to run however often you like via Task Scheduler.

Configure Media Center to include the specified download folder in your Videos library, sort by date and that's all that's needed to have all the latest trailers in HD automagically available for viewing! Click to the Documentation page for more Setup & Operating details.

That's the gist of it. I am open to implementing new features by request as time allows. If you are a C# developer and would like to join the project to help add features, I'm open to that too!! :)

Thanks:
