I just noticed a problem with HD-Trailers.Net's RSS feed. I think I have a fix once the feed stablizes

The stupid error is in the IMDB lookup. One of the regex lookups is running into trouble.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to trap the error before hand and handle it more gracefully. Will take a look at it tonight

Seems it isn't just yahoo trailers causing the problem (see below). Or is the IMDB lookup causing the issue?

I just made a donation. It's not much but I at least wanted to show some gratitude for tweaking your program. My internet is horrible for streaming so this program works great for me.
Back to subject...
The folder naming structure is:
2013-04-08 Paradise Love (Trailer No 1)
The file naming structure is:
Paradise Love (Trailer No 1)-trailer
Plex doesn't see the trailers if they are named with the -trailer at the end. Once I removed the -trailer from the filename, Plex detected it. I've since removed that feature from the config file.

Project Description
A tool to download the trailers from the HD-Trailers.net Blog. Schedule this to run once a night and it will download all the new trailers.

Hello Everyone -

I love watching the latest HD movie trailers, but have always been frustrated with the various limitations of streaming them over the internet. So I began manually downloading them for offline Media Center viewing from the HD-Trailers.net blog (which includes the newest trailers/clips from Apple, Yahoo, IGN and some others!) As you could imagine, this quickly became tedious as there are new ones available almost every day, so I wrote a small open source app to do the heavy lifting for me.

The app uses .NET 4 (c#) and is quite simple to setup & use. Download and run the installer and edit the config file (link to config file is in the start menut), and schedule it to run however often you like via Task Scheduler.

Then configure XBMC or Media Center to include the specified download folder in your Videos library, sort by date and that's all that's needed to have all the latest trailers in HD automagically available for viewing! Click to the Documentation page for more Setup & Operating details.

As always, I am open to implementing new features by request as time allows. If you are a C# developer and would like to join the project to help add features, I'm open to that too!! :)

I am trying to track this one down. Things are quite a bit more reliable now but Still having trouble with Yahoo downloads.

The file was not there for some reason. I had a copy of my config file saved from a previous install so i added it to the folder and it appears to be working fine now...weird? thanks

Hmmm.

There should be a shortcut to the HD-Trailers.net config file. Regardless, you can get there by going to

C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Local\HD-Trailers.Net Downloader

Thanks for reply but ive done that. all that shows is the hd-trailer.exe nothing else with it. even a search on metro screen doesnt pull up any thing else other than the program..even uninstalled and reinstalled 2.0.15

If you right click on the windows 8 Metro desktop, you will see an all apps button show up in the bottom right. If you click there, you will see the HD-Trailers Shortcuts.

I just "refreshed" my PC in windows 8 not realizing would wipe out most of my programs! I reinstalled hd-trailers.net and there is no config file...I went to appdata local and its not there...went to all programs in metro and isnt there either...any ideas? also it just opens and closes real quick. I dont see where i can upload a log file here?

*looks like i found a backup XML config file...can i just move that to appdata/local/hd folder??

It worked for a couple of previous donations. Give it another try. Let me know if this suits your needs. I don't have a plex server so can't really evaluate. What is there now is based on my interpretation of what is needed so I may have missed something.

On the plus side, digging back into the code allowed me to swat a few bugs that have been hanging around for a whiel.
